Originally from Taiwan, UBCcoffee is currently the biggest and most popular cafe chain in Beijing. I had a chance to sit down at one of the cafes on the De Wai Xin Kang Street in the Xicheng District to have a cup.
UBC serves a variety of coffee: Super Fine Blue Mountain, Royal Belgium Coffee, and Ireland Coffee, just to name but a few. Anverage Prices for stand at at RMB 50 / cup. However, the caf¨¦ also have western foods on the menu. Among the most popular are Spaghetti with Bolognaise (RMB 35), and Salad with Bell Pepper & Onion (RMB 50). Even wine is available to go along with your food. So for non-coffee lovers who simply want a western meal, UBC Coffee is also a good choice.
Renowned for its quality service and soothing atmosphere, the De Wai branch of UBC did not disappoint. The waitresses here also speak excellent English, so language is not a problem for ordering. So for a nice freshly brewed coffee, or just a western-style meal, give UBC Cafe a try.
