You may have not heard of Tony Studio (aka Dong Tian Image Styling), but you are more likely to be familiar with the name Lu Yan, China's top supermodel whose oriental looks have won her admirers on the international stage.

Lu Yan's image was the brainchild of stylist Li Dongtian, who founded the first image styling salon in China, Tony Studio, at the Xindongan Mall in 1999. Offering a complete package of styling services, Tony Studio is on many a celebrity's speed-dial, and is responsible for make-up duties on several local magazines' photo shoots.

Riding on his success, Li recently opened this flagship store in Jianwai Soho (a posh area of Beijing’s Central Business District), featuring four floors of facial spa facilities, hair stylists, a cafe and a professional photo studio. Their prices are reasonable: haircuts from RMB 180; perms from RMB 200 to RMB 1,380; highlights starting at RMB 200; full party-makeup costs RMB 800; and a wedding package which sells for RMB 3,000.
