With some 40 years of history, the Beijing Drama Costume Factory is China’s biggest state-owned enterprise producing articles for drama, film and dance. It is also an appointed manufacturer of ethnic minority apparel.

Now the best part is that you can buy any of these costumes. If you go to the factory shop, you will see colorful drama costumes, film costumes, ethnic costumes, stage accessories and so on on display.

Why not going back home with a stage fan for instance? One with traditional Chinese painting of beautiful women costs only RMB 5. You could also pick a miniature Beijing opera costume, and get it for a song (RMB 300). And if you are into history and don’t mind spending a bit more, a set of ancient court costumes will cost you RMB 3000. The workmanship is superb, and this would definitely add drama to your walls!
