Dairy Queen, known only by its acronym DQ in China, is one of the most popular cold dessert snack bars in Beijing. The store is especially popular with the young girls, who absolutely love its ice creams and sundaes.
One DQ store rests inside the basement of New Gate City plaza. Their menu mainlyl features their original ice creams and iced beverages. Original ice creams include popular flavors like Banana Boat, Storm, and Sundae. The ice beverage treats, which mix ice cream with different drinks, have flavors like mocha and orange juice.
One product you won¡¯t find in American DQs is the Ice Cream Moon Cake (RMB 50), a variation of the traditional Chinese moon cake. Don¡¯t pass up the chance to try one!
Most ice creams and iced beverages cost around RMB 25. The waitresses speak a little English, and the English menu with pictures makes ordering very convenient.
