The Dai ethnic group originates from Southern China. It is long regarded as a source of delicious food and beautiful ladies, and its people are born singers and dancers.

Dai Jia Ying Xiang, which opened its doors recently, serves food and drinks which cannot be found anywhere else. The restaurant has become a big attraction for many tourists already.

Dishes such as Dai Xiangmao Caokun Fish and Dai Zhutong Chicken are cooked with local fish and chicken, and cost only RMB 32. The sea bass used as the main ingredient in the Guoqiao Sea Bass and Lemon Sea Bass preparations is imported from Thailand. Such dishes cost RMB 66 and RMB 56 respectively. They are very popular among the patrons. The place also serves over a hundred other dishes, specially cooked with Dai recipes.

Their local wines -- such as the Dai Nuomi Wine – are made from glutinous rice. The Li River Snow Mountain Wine, and the Sulima Wine are said to be surprisingly smooth and mellow.

Worth of mention is the performance the restaurant holds every day. Water-Splashing Dance and Dancing Peacock are performed by Dai artists.

Because the restaurant just opened, they offer a 20% on the food for the time being. Don’t forget to take a picture of the beautiful dancers.
