Home Cafe, to warm your heart

With the modernization of Beijing comes more stress for the working Beijingers. To remedy that, many natives have begun to frequent coffee shops for chatting or reading. Among the many coffee houses in Beijing, Home Cafe is one of the most comfortable places to take a little break.

Located near the middle North 3rd Ring Rd, Home Café situates by a University campus. Not only is the café decorated like a “home”, the owner states that she makes the dishes, snacks, cakes, and beverages herself too! With many overseas students making up her customer base, communication in English is no problem at all.

All Coffee here are freshly brewed. Their choices include Cappuccino, Espresso, Latte, and the traditional Home coffee (black coffee). The price ranges from RMB 8 to RMB 20 for each cup.

To complement your coffee, get some homemade dessert cakes, which comes in chocolate, blueberry, orange, and other flavors. The price is from RMB 10 to RMB 12 per piece. Occasionally, you can get cakes for half price after 9 p.m.

If you want to grab a bite to eat, they serve Japanese, Chinese, western style dishes. Try out their spaghetti dishes (RMB 10 – RMB 18) or Japanese-style fried rice (RMB 10), two of the more popular items on the menu.
