In the past few years, Jeanwest has become one of the most popular casual apparel brands in China, combining good quality with low prices. Near the west North Third Ring rests one of Jeanswest's exclusive outlets, which I recently visited.
According to the shop assistant, the clothes come from Guangdong and Zhejiang province. He then shows me an item on sale, a unadorned light yellow t-shirt for girls. The shirt is made with 80% cotton and 20% terylene, and only costs RMB 39 after discount.
Compared to other similar brands, Jeanwest¡¯s dimensions tend to be larger while the materials are thinner. They use double lines when sewing the joints of collars and cuffs. As for colors, most designs feature a single color, with grass green, light pink, and pale blue most prevalent.
This shop also offers jeans, skirt, cap and straps, all similar to t-shirts in design simplicity. Regular prices range from RMB 50 to RMB 200, but many are on sale with each season¡¯s change.
