Colorful & Lively Shirts for Couples

Apparels and accessories for couples are a hit with young Beijingers today. One successful store for couples is C-PIX, which comes from Shanghai. The name is short for “Colorful Pictures”.

I approached its outlet near Beijing University of Business and Economics on east of North 3rd Ring. They sell shirts for couples, with both long-sleeved and short-sleeved designs. According to the shop assistant who cannot speak English, most of branches are situated near the Universities, close to their target customers.

The designs uses both traditional Chinese elements like birds, dragons, Chinese paper cutouts, and modern ones like the olive branch. Main hues include blue, purple, yellow, green, and white. The shirts come in two styles, round collar and high collar with a zipper. Everything is made with 100% cotton.

The sales assistant says that if they do not have the size you want, they can send the right size from another outlet. You can even have it delivered to your door if you want!  

In general, price for a female shirt is RMB 98, and for male shirts RMB 138. Customers can mix and match different designs too, since the shirts are sold separately.

All prices are fixed.
