On the southeast of Guomao Bridge, there¡¯s a brown signboard on the facade of Beijing CSN Hotel that reads BaGuoBuYi Cuisine Restaurant. The restaurant is on the second floor of the hotel, so you need to go up stairs to get in. The name BaGuo is the ancient name for the eastern Sichuan, while BuYi is the ancient name for common people. Together they describe the homily dishes of Sichuan. BaGuoBuYi, as the name implies, features the best home-style dishes and turns them into restaurant cuisine.
The large dining hall can accommodate up to 300 diners. They also have 12 private rooms that combine ancient and modern styles. At 7:30 pm every day, diners can enjoy a wonderful performance of ¡®Face Change¡¯ unique in Sichuan opera.
A word of warning though, Sichuan food is quite spicy, so make sure to ask the server to make the dishes milder if you can¡¯t handle extra spicy food. The dishes here are inexpensive. The most popular dish is Kungpao Chicken, Diced Chicken Stir-fried with Peanuts that costs RMB 18. This characteristic Sichuan restaurant appeals to both locals and tourists alike.
What I appreciate Famous Sichuan Cuisine, ¡®Face Change¡¯ performance.
What customers appreciate Delicious Sichuan dishes, Sichuan folk features.
