Suits for 21st Century Businessman

 “Dress for success”, or at least the Chinese version of it, is Smart Garments’    

 business philosophy. Based in Beijing, this men’s wear brand offers modern  

 business suits and other formal and informal apparel. I visited its outlet in Xidan’s

 ZhongYou shopping mall.

  As I stepped into Smart Garments, a shop assistant who could speak a little English introduced me to the brand. According to her, the merchandises are manufactured in Beijing, for men 175cm to 190cm tall (5-8 to 6-3). The brand focuses on business suits, dress shirts, ties, scarves, and sweaters.

  I found the designs of Smart Garments in line with the 21st century fashion style,

  for they mixed in casualness with their formal suits. A light-brown casual suit

  especially caught my eyes, for its pattern looked informal, especially with its

  collar clipped casually. The shop assistant recommended me a dark red tie to

  match the suit just in time for the Spring Festival.

  In general, prices for business suits ranged from RMB 1000 up to RMB 5000,

  while dress shirts and ties had RMB 200 to RMB 400 price tags. For the coming

  Spring Festival, the merchandises were on 40% ~ 60% discounts.
