A Captivating Place to Buy Himalaya Gifts and Accessories

One of the few Tibetan stores in the the capital city, A-Bu-Ni-Gong offers a unique opportunity to shop for fascinating and beautiful handicrafts and accessories from the high mountains of Tibetan.

The store carries a variety of Tibetan everyday products, like exquisite Tibetan fox fur hats, colorful prayer flags, rosaries, and prayer wheels. They also have beautifully handcrafted jewelry in silver, turquoise, and other semi-precious stones.  Prices start at dozens of Yuan for small accessories, and rise to upward of tens of thousands of Yuan for an exquisite Thangkas.  Thangkas is a Buddhist art painting done on a homemade cotton or silk canvas, seeking protection and good luck from the Buddha.

The owners are a couple from Tibet “We are born in Tibetan culture, we live with it, it is part of our life,” they told me, “It is the aesthetic appeal of the products that drags people in.” They want to use the store to help promote the Tibetan culture and their way of life.
