Although both countries reside within Asia, Pakistan and China have very different cultures. Take one look inside Pakistan-Hand will make that distinction very clear. This shop offers several kinds of hand-made copper decorations, all imported from Pakistan.
The shop owner showed me a copper pot with a very large bent handle, aptly named ¡°big handle pot¡± (RMB 386). Except for the small lid, the pot¡¯s entire body is fully carved with red and black patterns. The pot looks both striking and unique. He also recommended an oak elephant d¨¦cor. The wood used is very hard to carve, and can last a long time.
I personally like the copper Aladdin lamp (RMB 118) on display. The oblate pot has the exact shape of the lamp in the stories. And if you fill it with oil, you can use it as an oil lamp.
Prices at Pakistan-Hand range from RMB 10 to RMB 500, and you can find decorations on sale year-round.
What I appreciated:
Pakistan culture, low prices
What customers appreciate:
Various levels of prices, good for gifts and souvenirs
