Woolen Sweater from Inner Mongolia

Inner Mongolia is a region in north China near Mongolia. As they live in a very cold area, Inner Mongolians have become great at making winter clothes. Erdos is a well-known woolen sweater brand which offers sweaters made in Inner Mongolia. I went to its outlet near Anyuandongli.

Inside the store, female sweaters displayed on the left side, while male sweaters displayed on the right. According to the shop assistant, Erdos's design favors the middle-aged and older people, who prefer substance over style. They mainly use just a single hue for each sweater, such as grass green, pink, yellow, and purple.

The prices ranged from RMB 480 to RMB 680. However, with the winter coming and most Beijingers switching to heavy coats, most of Erdos’s merchandise had 30%~ 50% discounts. The shop assistants could not speak English.
