Bee produce more than just honey

Yinshouyuan (颐寿园) is a Beijing-based brand with 12 years of history, offering various healthy products made using bees.

I visited one of its shop located in the basement of Chengjian Plaza, by the middle North 3rd Ring Rd. According to the shop assistant, their products come in 4 categories: bee glue (蜂胶), royal jelly (蜂王浆), honey (蜂蜜), and bee pollen(蜂花粉). The best seller is the bee glue, a traditional Chinese medicine for maintaining a healthy body, especially for old people. It contains dozens of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.

In addition, the shop assistant recommends the bee pollen, popular among Chinese gals for the amino acids that benefit the skin.

If you are shopping for gifts, try their gift boxes. The packaging is exquisite, and looks very nice even without further wrappings.

Prices for gift boxes range from RMB 150 to RMB 300. Honey costs RMB 10 to RMB 100 per bottle (200g ~ 250g). Bee pollens go for RMB 20 to RMB 100 per bottle (225g ~ 230g). Royal jelly costs RMB 50 to RMB 300 per bottle / bag (60g ~ 300g). Bee glue costs RMB 50 to RMB 300 for per bottle (50g or 50ml).

The shop assistants cannot speak English. But as products sell at the listed price, you have no need to bargain.
