Especially soft and warm Tibetan carpets

In the northeast of Beijing lies an antique market. Last week I went there and found a shop carrying Tibetan carpets and classical furniture. Their quality carpets can make your home even more beautiful.

I stepped into the shop, and saw a large collection of carpets and tapestries on display. The patterns were elegant and exquisite, and the colors were natural and complementary.

Soon the shopkeeper Ms. Zhao came up and greeted me warmly, then she introduced her products to me. Most of the Tibetan carpets are made of pure wool from sheep on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (at a sea level of 4,500 meters!) The wool from this unpolluted area is especially soft and warm.

All of the products in this shop are entirely handmade.

I couldn’t keep myself from touching a carpet. Wow! It felt so warm, velvety and elastic, and the whole carpet had a soft, shiny luster. It was remarkable!

The old Tibetan-style furniture also looked quite unique. For example, one cabinet was painted red with some butterfly patterns on it.

To cater to Western customers, they have European-style tapestries for sale too.
