Located on the Zhushikou Dongdajie, Beauty Exchange Center is the most famous distribution center for beauty and hairdressing articles in Beijing. A great number of manufacturers have opened their outlets there. The shops here cater to salons and parlors for wholesale, as well as individuals looking for cheaper prices.
The outlets usually offer slight discount on individual items. The more you buy, the bigger the discount. On the first floor of the center, I found a shop selling Korean brand ¡°Olive¡± body cleansers at RMB 80 for a 750 ml bottle. Another shop carries many kinds of essential oils made in Hong Kong, which have medicinal effects like giving you a better night sleep. Prices range from RMB 78 to RMB 108 (10 ml).
The center is divided into four levels. For hairdressing needs, the shops have shampoos, conditioners, and hairdryers. Beauty products include cosmetics, bath gel, bust cream, and essential oil.
