The Legend of the Wooden Lamp

Located on the Southeastern corner of the Drum and Bell Tower, Legend of the Wooden Lamp designs and produces handmade…. wooden lamps. If you're getting tired of the ubiquitous deluxe crystal chandeliers and modern paper lamps, these vintage light fixtures will add a distinct, stylish, rural touch to your home.

The designer incorporated traditional culture in his lamps, and each has a theme such as the black gauze caps which ancient Chinese officials used to wear, or the Qing dynasty copper coin, antique bells, and the double-happiness character.

Prices range from RMB 69 to RMB 250. Made-to-order lamps are also available, their prices are slightly higher. The shop assistants cannot speak English, but they don't really have to. Just pick out your favorite item from the models on display.
