Shopping for Inexpensive Home Accessories

The layout of Easy Shop in the Zhongguancun Shopping Mall is half shop, half gallery. The photos on the walls certainly contribute to this impression.

Customers are presented with a mix of home accessories, and a stylish wool sweater collection. In their selection I noticed a set of light yellow linen pillows and bed spreads priced at RMB 308, and a huge hand-knitted wool blanket selling for RMB 299. Sweaters come in black and grey, and are available for both for men and women.

I also noted a couple of nicely designed accessories, including pocket notebooks with funny prints (RMB 19), and movie clapboards (RMB 59).

The shop assistants speak a basic English, so simple conversation is not a problem. Prices are very reasonable, there is no room for haggling.
