With Chinas modernization comes a very problematic side-effect, the increase in the size of our stomachs. Chinese people are placing more and more emphasis in what they eat. Located on the 6th floor of Xidan Mingzhu Department Store, Jia Jia serves hot pot, a Chinese style boiling soup similar to fondue, where you can choose your choice of 300 kinds of food made of coarse grains to dip in: maize, soybean, buckwheat, etc. For instance, buckwheat is very good for people suffering diabetes.

 

According to the restaurants regulations, a guest may stay for 90 minutes for RMB 29. On your birthday, you can show your ID and only pay RMB 20 to enter. The restaurant is very popular with local people for so many kinds of food and pretty low price. Make sure to avoid the crowds on weekends, though.
