Useful Tips for Shoppers in Beijing

There are 2 big shopping areas in Beijing: Xidan and Wangfujing. They are located inside the inner ring of the city. They are only several stops away from each other. Xidan is to the West of Tiananmen, while Wangujing is near Tiananmen East.

If you don’t want to take a taxi to go to either destination, you can either take the subway or a bus. Both malls are on the subway horizontal line.

The following buses will take you to Xidan or Wangfujing:

To Xidan:

Bus No.1, 4, 10, 728, 52, 105, 109, 204(inner ring), 204(outer ring), 603, 604, 616, 626, 726, 808, 826

To Wangfujing:

Bus No. 10, 20, 37, 41, 59, 120, 126, 203, 205, 420, 802, 1, 4, 728, 52

From Xidan to Wangfujing:

Bus No. 37, 802, 10, 1, 4, 728, 52

If you shop first in Xidan then in Wangfujing, I recommend you to take the subway, or bus line No. 1 or 4. Going by any of the above routes, there are only 2 stops between the two malls.
