Where to Shop for Golf Equipments in Beijing
As a western gentleman sport, golf has a short history in China. In recent years, however, the sport has quickly risen in popularity among the new generation. Many visits the Aoke Dragonfly Golf shop on DiAnMen East Street, which offers a wide range of golf equipments from shoes to bags to clubs. All products are brand names, like Ping, Mizuno, Nike, and Taylor Made.
The shop assistant recommended the Mizuno Fli-Hi CLK (RMB 3100). He said this golf club is good for a newbie, and bridges the distance gap between conventional woods and irons. Its narrow body, short shaft, and deep center of gravity give the user greater control than a fairway wood.
Prices for the golf clubs range from RMB 3,000 to RMB 40,000, while the golf clothes cost about RMB 300 to RMB 1000. The shop assistants speak basic English if you have any questions.

Feel the Tibetan Style in Beijing
When you take a stroll on DongSi South Street, make sure to visit the House of Tibetan Gems. As one of the few Tibetan stores in Beijing, you get a unique opportunity to shop for exotic, fascinating and beautiful curios, gifts, handicrafts and accessories from the Himalayan region. There are also a variety of beautiful handcrafted jewelry in silver, gold, turquoise, and other semi-precious stones.
The shop assistant recommended me a wallet which is the most popular product in the shop. It is made of 100% yak skin with the Potala Palace and Tibetan characters pressed on the cover. Priced at RMB 280, it makes both a great gift and for your personal use.
The prices for the products there range from RMB 8 for a GeSang bag up to RMB 1300 for a Tibetan Knife. Though the shop assistants do not speak English, they will try their best to make you appreciate the individuality and aesthetic appeal of all the products from the "Roof of the World".

Wild Accessories
Pirateship accessories are famous throughout China. The brand caters to young people, who find that Pirateship jewelries feel special as well as affordable.
The brand owned many outlets in Beijing, and I visited its location near the Friendship Hotel by the North 3rd Ring. Inside I found a large selection of quality silver accessories such as rings, earrings, necklaces, and brooches.
Some of the merchandise, like necklaces and brooches, are displayed on black flannelette. Other items are shown on shelves. Pirateship uses mainly 925 silver, colored shells, semi-precious stones as material.
The shop assistant told me that colored shell does not fade easily, and great for long-term use. With that in mind, she recommended to me a pair of colored shell earrings, priced at RMB 160. The pendants on the earring featured two hues, light blue and half pink, separated by a golden line. The surface was polished and bright. I found the price on the cheap side for its quality.
Generally, I found the prices for earrings, rings, and brooches to be from RMB 50 to RMB 300. Necklaces are more expensive, from RMB 300 to 1000.
